Possible problems after the download of image data base software:

If you are a windows user with restricted rights then you must get administrator rights for the first start of the program otherwise you can not select the language. If you need write access to the database you always must start with administrator rights. If you do not find the line ‘start as administrator’ when you right click an icon to start the program then you must create new icons by yourself.

If you are informed during the installation process of GERBING fotoalbum 13.msi, that MDAC 2.5 is missing, you must download and install the component MDAC from the Microsoft download center. You can download the most current component (also higher than 2.5).

If you double click on GERBING Fotoalbum 13.msi in Windows 98 and your computer asks for the program to work with, you must download and execute the component Windows Installer (InstMsiA.exe) for Windows 98 from the Microsoft download center. This will install the Windows Installer in Windows 98 which is already contained per default in Windows 2000 and XP.

You get

Error 1931, or a similar error. Setup cannot update the file ...\WINDOWS\system32\... because it is protected by Windows. You may need to update your operating system for this program to work correctly. Contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) for assistance. In this case click on 'OK' and not on 'Cancel'. Windows Installer wants to inform you with this message that the file mentioned already exists in your system possibly even a newer one than you just intended to install.
