Version 13.3.15 since January 20th 2010

In the Professional Version it is possible to start a sound file connected to the image automatically when the image is displayed.

-removed sometimes disproportioned display of images when using wide flatscreens

-The user can now select the language at the first start of fotos.exe. There is a new menu in diashow.exe for the assoziation of image file types to diashow.exe.

 

Version 13.3.1 since October 25th 2007

-The user can now choose to play videos with the internal player or with the external Windos MediaPlayer. Use therefore the adjustments window

 

Version 13.3.0 since September 14th 2007

-The user can now see at once by the mouse icon what will be done by drawing the mouse (square-zoom, move the image or move the image with saving of the image positions).

-The adjustments window can now be opened over the menu. There is one new adjustment. The user can define what will be done at image loading with fotos smaller than the screen resolution (never zoom to fullscreen or zoom to fullscreen depending from a certain image width)

 

Since version 13.2.1 at December 05th 2006
EXIF fields and IPTC fields are supported. You can decide at the addition of new files into the data base from which EXIF fields or IPTC fields the contents shall be imported. At the display of found files you can display the accompanying EXIF fields or IPTC fields.

the following 5 actions are available for the current foto/video:
- Open the application that is connected with the filetype (format)
- Open the print program for the actual file
- Open the window 'new email'
- Open an explorer window where the actual file is selected
- Select only the records marked by marker column

Release of GERBING Fotoalbum 13 Professional-Version at March 10th 2006

Sharewareversion 13.0.1 is available for download at January 29th 2006

Instructions for users of the version 12.50.0 for the transition on version 13.0.1:

1. Save the files fotos.mdb and $fotos.mdb from the present fotalbum version 12.50.0 folder  to a suitable place.

2. Deinstall the program GERBING fotoalbum by means of adjustments > system control > software.

3. Install GERBING fotoalbum 13.msi into the fotalbum version 12.50.0 folder. To do this you must intrude during the installation and not accept the suggested installation folder.

4. Copy back the files fotos.mdb and $fotos.mdb saved in step 1 into the fotalbum version 12.50.0 folder.

5. At the first start of fotos.exe version 13.0.1 you must agree to a data base customization.

The aim of this method is exchanging the old program files and help files for the new ones. It also would work, if you install GERBING fotoalbum 13.msi into the suggested installation folder and then copy from there the program files and help files into your fotalbum version 12.50.0 folder.

3.Known problems and their solution

 

3.1. Tool fotosmdb.exe: Why get I runtime error '3315' when generating new data records at fields which I want to leave empty and what can I do against this?

Solution: The problem disappears, if you change in the program fotos.exe the language once and then change back again.

 

3.2. When I click the Desktop icon 'GERBING Fotoalbum 13' I get the following error:

runtime error '-2147024770 (8007007e)':
Automation error

The specified module could not be found

Solution:

Go to Start, then click on Run and enter:
 regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\DAO\Dao360.dll"
 then click OK. If the file dao360.dll is located in a different folder or drive change the information accordingly. If you do not know where the file is on your computer do a go to Start, then Find, Files. And enter dao360.dll in the search.

 

3.3. When I click the Desktop icon 'GERBING Fotoalbum 13' I get the following error:

runtime error '-2147217865 (80040e37)':
The Microsoft Jet data base modul can not find die table or query 'EFotos'.

Make sure, that it exists and you did enter the correct name.

Solution:

If you have installed a MS Access, rename in the fotos.mdb the table 'ErsterStart' or 'FirstStart' into 'EFotos' und start the program again. If the error message now changes into 'Run time error '429': ActiveX Component can't create object', then go to Start, then click on Run and enter:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\DAO\Dao360.dll"
then click OK. If the file dao360.dll is located in a different folder or drive change the information accordingly. If you do not know where the file is on your computer do a go to Start, then Find, Files. And enter dao360.dll in the search. Then reinstall GERBING Fotoalbum 13.

 

3.4. When I click the Desktop icon 'GERBING Fotoalbum 13' I get the following error:

Run-time error '429':
ActiveX component can't create object.

Solution:

Go to Start, then click on Run and enter:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\DAO\Dao360.dll"
then click OK. If the file dao360.dll is located in a different folder or drive change the information accordingly. If you do not know where the file is on your computer do a go to Start, then Find, Files. And enter dao360.dll in the search. Then reinstall GERBING Fotoalbum 13.

If that will not help you probably need to muck a bit with MDAC.

3.5. When I click the Desktop icon 'GERBING Fotoalbum 13' I get the following error:
runtime error '-2147221164(80040154)':

class not registered'

This problem is caused by Microsoft XP SP3 and happens if you install Windows XP by an installation DVD with integrated SP3 and if you install GERBING Fotoalbum 13 after that.
Solution:

As long as microsoft does not offer a solution go this way. Install windows XP by an installation DVD with maximum SP2 integrated. After that install GERBING Fotoalbum 13. After that install XP SP3.
